The camera is with Dad so no new pictures today. Just narrative.
Allan got put in time-out for the first time last night. Griffith loves dumping the toys out of the bins and stepping up on the bin (thanks, Stephanie, for starting that with the darned step you gave him for Xmas!). Griff hasn't quite figured out how to make the full step up all by himself so I was helping him. Allan was sitting in my lap, playing with something. Or, as it turns out, pretending to. Griff was standing up on the step and I had let go of him so that he could be a big boy and look all around (he's too cute peering around -- apparently the view from up there is much different from 4 inches lower). Anyway, before I knew what was happening, Allan had taken both hands and shoved his brother off of the bin. Hard. Absolutely no question that he knew what he was doing. So Dad went and got the Time Out chair and we put him in it and told him "no, no" and "not nice" and "be gentle." Allan just laughed and laughed. I'm pretty sure he thought it was worth it.
And while we are on the topic, of bratty behavior, Allan has decided that he wants to stand up in the bath and is quite determined about it. He keeps reaching over and grabbing the edge of the tub and pulling up. We have tried "no, no" (Griffith even joins in) and "on your bottom" and repeatedly putting him back down on his bottom, to no avail. We finally took him out last night since he refused to listen.
For the record, Griffith does not stand up in the tub. He knows you have to stay on your bottom. Who'd have thought he would be the one who listens?
