Lots more photos from tonight, but how many devil shots do we need?

I'll post more tomorrow. Heading upstairs for bed and (we hope) a restful night.

The cruising devil

Allan working on walking along the furniture.

This is not what I intended.

Allan learning about backing up.

No one puts Allan in a corner

except Allan, that is. He kept pushing, but since the outfit was slick and the floor was wood, he kept going backward which wasn't what he intended at all.

Reaching for it....

Griff working very hard at trying to pull or push the candy bowl off of the table.

Greeting the trick or treaters.

Griff at the front door, checking out the action.

Griffith's tail.

And the cape. He kept grabbing it and swirling it around him. Very George Hamilton.

both of you.

Take 102

Trying to get one photo of the two of them.

The impossibility

of getting one photo of both of them looking in the same direction at the same time is boggling.

In a nutshell

My boys in a nutshell -- giggly Griff, soulful Allan.

Little devils

wrestling on the couch.

Socially awkward moment

I hate it when I meet up with someone wearing the same outfit.

Are you sure about this ??

because I'm not. Allan, the ever-skeptical, checking with Dad to make sure that this is how he is supposed to look.

But I don't like the cap!

Griff pulling and tugging at the head piece.

Flora grinning at her big boys

Everyone getting ready for the big night.

Devilish grin

I look good!

Howling devil

Griff expressing his disapproval of being made to look silly.

Halloween 2007

A big time was had by all.

Allan is passed out on the sofa in the royal position. Dad took Griff upstairs about a half hour ago and I can't hear either one. I suspect that they are both asleep. The house is absolutely, blissfully silent. Not something that happens a lot around here.

The boys were devils for Halloween and were cute, cute, cute as you can plainly see. I took over a hundred photos. Don't really plan on posting them all. A lot of them, certainly, but not all.

We thought about Thing One and Thing Two, but decided that there was no way that the boys would tolerate the wigs (even if they were darling.) The little devil caps were bad enough. Mom loved the tails on the costumes. I think that everything that they wear ought to have tails.

We had enough trick-or-treaters to make things interesting, but not enough to bankrupt us or be really annoying. Griff thought the whole thing was marvelous -- he ran to the door every time someone showed up and squealed. Then he tried to leave with everyone who came. Allan, for his part, remained largely unimpressed with the parade of fools. He was just glad that Griff was distracted so that he could play with the Leap Frog drum (play the drum, every one, play the drum! Thanks, Aunt Lee.)

Aunt Michele stopped by and brought a Giggle Cookie Monster/Elmo and new Sesame Street floating, squirting tub toys. Then Aunt Cheryl came by and brought Halloween plates and new clothes and Christmas presents. (Just to be sure they aren't late.)

Time to post a few photos....

Griff pushing Allan with his feet

Big Al

standing and balancing all on his own.

This is very hard work.

The balancing act

Allan is learning to pull up and balance on his knees and play with the activity table.

Griffith's got a cup on his head!

He's so vain

Allan likes to look at his reflection in the faucet.
