Sunday night.

Not exactly according to plan
I am snuggling one of the world's two best smelling babies. There are a few smells that can't be matched -- fresh-baked bread, the pine smell of the mountains and warm baby fresh from the bath.Jay and I switch off every night. Allan is usually considered the easy duty. He usually is awake for longer than Griff, but is generally in a very calm and snuggly mood. Where Griff will fight sleep, Allan welcomes it. Griff rolls his eyes around and jerks like a baby possesed. Allan sticks his thumb in his mouth, gives a deep sigh and doesn't open his eyes for another 10 hours. Dad had Griff tonight. So far G has spit up 3 times, soaking everything. Even though the door to the upstairs is closed, I can hear G howling every once in a while. Sometimes you get the bull, sometimes the bull gets you.Big Al isn"t asleep. He's kinda in a stupor, sitting in my lap with his head burrowed in my chest.Which is a nice segue in to the weekend activities. Friday night we stayed at home and welcomed Grandma and Grampy back from their trip to the Outer Banks. We got up bright and early on Saturday morning and ran the Race for the Cure (the boys are big on boobs, you know.) We did very well. We wanted to beat 30 minutes and did that handily. Or, in the words of Grampy, "just."
