...weekend continued

We got interrupted on the blogging last night. Took a while to calm the natives and all.

Anyways....

Team Al and Griff ran the race for the cure (as we have noted, they are big fans of the boobs.) Mom made Daddy run solo (running with the stroller gives me an easy excuse for running slow, walking or even stopping). I pushed the boys and, as best we can tell, got second in the (unofficial) division of women pushing double strollers. (I'll catch her next year.) The boys were good sports about the whole thing and, every once in a while, Griff would let out with a hearty "go, go" to keep me moving. He's very helpful, that boy. Allan, naturally, was chilled out for the whole thing and took it all in while sucking on his thumb. Whatever I wanted to do was fine. As long as I wasn't expecting him to do anything, it was all good.

Afterward, we all headed for brunch, complete with mimosas. Once Jim and Markus and Don got themselves prettied up after the run, we had quite a crew. Montell came, too, and snuggled Allan in to submission. He slept for about an hour all cuddled up with her. Griff, of course, refused to go down. There was too much to see. It didn't matter that he was exhausted. He wasn't going to miss a minute of it. After brunch, we all headed back to the house and met Miss Miranda. She took care of the boys while the grown-ups went to the football game. We headed back via Oktoberfest (the brat was a disappointment!) and home again, home again. Just in time for baths, bottles and cuddling.

Sunday we all started a little slow. Just hanging out at the house. Grandma and Grampy came by about lunch time and helped with the boys while Mom and Dad did yard work and tidying up for the fall. Then we all cleaned up and headed to Greg and Alice's farm to play with their horses (George Henry and William). Can't wait until we can send them to spend weekends with G and A. Got to get them used to being farm boys.
